Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy Group (SEOR)
Between
18 and 28 November 2013, was held in Seville the 1st Theoretical and Practical
Course on SBRT in the Universitary Hospital “Virgen del Rocío”. The coordinator
of the project has been D. Santiago Miranda Velázquez (physicist). The number
of students has been limited to 20 and the total number of teaching hours have
been 66. The course has been attended by 24 teachers from Andalucía skilled in
the art. The course has reviewed topics ranging from the history of SBRT,
radiobiology, image fusion, respiratory control systems, ICRU 83, SBRT clinical
applications and research projects. The course will be convened biennially and
it will be international.
Entre el 18 y el 28 de Noviembre de 2013, se ha celebrado en Sevilla el 1er Curso Teórico-Práctico sobre SBRT en el H. Universitario Virgen del Rocío. El coordinador del mismo ha sido D. Santiago Velázquez Miranda (Radiofísico). El número de alumnos se ha limitado a 20 y el total de horas lectivas ha sido de 66. Ha contado con la presencia de 24 profesores de Andalucía expertos en la técnica. Se han repasado temas que incluyen desde la historia de la SBRT, radiobiología, fusión de imágenes, sistemas de control respiratorio, ICRU 83, aplicaciones clínicas de la SBRT y proyectos de investigación. El curso nace con vocación de convocarse bianualmente e internacionalizarse.
