Next 26-27th January, 2012 the “I Radiosurgery Meeting: Brain and Spinal metastases” will be celebrated in Castellon organized by a multidisciplinary team of the Castellon Hospital. The meeting will take place in the Hotel Civis Castellon Center (Castellon, Spain).
The meeting will count with the presence of Dr. Josh Yamada (MSKCC, New York) and Dr. Peter C. Gerzten (UPM; Pittsburgh) and other national relevant speakers who will relate their clinical experience and practical clinical cases.

We believe that it can be of interest for many centers that realizes SBRT since these technologies can be applied in the planning and delivery of SBRT treatments. We recommend to the SBRT Spanish Group the magazine "Journal of Radiosurgery and SBRT (JRSBRT)" that has edited its first number in January, 2011 and whose publisher is the Dr. Samuel Ryu.It would be very interesting to present works and to consult the published ones in it since nowadays it is the only publication with the aim to stimulate publications of radiosurgery and SBRT.

On June 15, 2011 a SBRT plenary session was celebrated in the Congress XVI of the Radiotherapy and Oncology Spanish Society (SEOR). In her there took part relevant referees as Dra. H. Cárdenes (Indianapolis, USA), that review the results of this treatment modality in hepatic primary and secondary lesions; Dra. B. Améndola (Miami, USA), that commented on the results in spinal pathology; Dr. C. Miyamoto (Philadelphia, USA), that spoke about the utilization of this technology in T1-T2 N0 lung cancer and Dr. S. Bral (Aalst, Belgium), that shared the European experience in the treatment of non small cell lung cancer treated with Novalis system. The SBRT plenary session was moderated by Dra. Last June 14, 2011 the first meeting of the SBRT Spanish Group was celebrated in the context of the Congress XVI of the Radiotherapy and Oncology Spanish Society (SEOR). Dra. Higinia Cárdenes (Indiana University School of Medicine. Indianapolis, USA), who is world referee in this treatment modality, accompanied us on this first day
In this meeting, two chapters were presented: 1) the short-term aims of the group and 2) the Networking 2.0 tools that are going to be in use by the members.
